if the minimum student count is not met, we reserve the right to cancel any class. However, we will contact you first to discuss possible arrangements, hoping to keep all classes open.
Description of classes:
The first class of every month will be taught by Laura Frame, the subject will be literature and art. Laura will read and discuss a short piece of literature which will be the inspiration for the art project that day.
The second and third classes of each month will be taught by Asha Ramirez. She will alternate between the topics of Elements of Art and the study of an artist, their style, contribution to the arts the project of the day to be creating in that artist’s style .
For last class of each month, Mary Duman will teach clay hand work.
One class during October will be spent in the Keyboard Art garden, each child drawing what speaks to them.
During each class, silence and focus will be encouraged during a period of time, teaching children the importance of experiencing the creative process.

Learn how to develop your artistic vision by keeping a sketchbook, working in a series, gathering inspiration, and developing your creativity. You will also learn the technical tools, such as the Art Elements and Design Principles, that make it possible to create art with any materials. This is not a cookie-cutter approach to making art. The class includes lots of one-on-one instruction as well as group exercises and group sharing of inspiration. Mary will help you make your unique creative vision a reality!
Class is open to anyone 18 years or older
$25/class or $175 for all 8 sessions
Space is limited to only 12 students and a minimum of 5 are needed to hold the class
