Lou’s teaching experience began right after he completed graduate studies at University of Redlands by joining the faculty at the School of Music there in 1988 and teaching violin and viola at La Sierra University. In addition, he has maintained a private teaching studio of 15-20 students year around and has taught students from beginner to university violin performance level - ages 5 to 75.
In addition to teaching, Jing-yu Lou is a violinist, symphony conductor and show producer. Mr. Lou has appeared on many stages in the Inland Empire and throughout China, and performed in many string quartets and chamber orchestras. He received his music education from Shanghai Conservatory of Music and University of Redlands majoring in viola and violin performance.
