Laura Frame - Art
B.A in Liberal Studies
30 years teaching experience
Laura Frame received her B.A. in Liberal Studies and her teaching credential from San Diego State University in 1976. She started her teaching career at Wrightwood Elementary School in a 4th grade classroom and has taught every grade level from 3rd to 7th at Snowline Unified School District in her over 30 year career. She loves working with children and was very pleased to be offered the opportunity to work with students teaching art.
Family has always been a major influence in the way she spends her time. She has three grown daughters and four grandchildren. Her husband, John, the real artist in the family, has indeed spent his career working in the arts and is quite the resource for inspiring art lessons for the students. She enjoys spending quite a bit of creative time in the kitchen preparing nutritious and satisfying meals, loves to read and enjoys yoga and walking. Travel has been important as well and Laura has traveled with her husband to many of the states in the US including Hawaii, has made several trips to various countries in Europe, and has broadened her experience greatly by traveling through northern India.
After having retired from teaching seven years ago she missed working with children and is happy to be part of the Keyboard Art program here in Wrightwood.
