The Keyboard Art School of Music is dedicated to teaching students the art and joy of making music and you will always have a personalized lesson.  We understand that every student learns differently, so we tailor private lessons to the individual's needs and goals.  No two people are exactly the same, so no two lessons are exactly the same.  We embrace uniqueness and appreciate individualism.

We believe that the art of creating music is a rewarding accomplishment that is accessible to all.  We believe that every student possesses musical talent.  The teachers at Keyboard Art create an environment where students feel confident and comfortable while they are progressing.  Above all, we insist that learning music should be a fun and enjoyable experience!

Music is an expression of one's self that touches us all.  We are drawn to music because it is meaningful.  We hear it wherever we go, but to make music ourselves is an experience not to be missed!  To do this, we connect with the part of us that makes us human and learn the techniques and gestures that make music expressive.  Music is truly an international language.  Whether you are new to music and playing shapes on a page, or an experienced musician performing sonatas or aria, music should be meaningful.  Otherwise, there is no point to our endeavor, and we can let iPods and computers do it for us.

The teachers at our School of Music are accomplished musicians with degrees in music and decades of experience both performing and teaching music.  We specialize in performance, composition, music theory, and musical expression.  We believe that learning how to understand, experience, and create music emotionally and physically is the key to musical success.  Whether you are performing for your own enjoyment, for your friends, or for a concert hall of music enthusiasts, we have the experience and skills to help you reach your goals.

The Keyboard Art studio is filled with instruments and music from around the world.  Many of the instruments are handmade and demonstrate all of the work and passion that go into creating an instrument.  The atmosphere is designed to inspire and encourage students of all ages.  The teachers are dedicated to helping students discover and advance their own musical potential.

We agree with the poet Logan Pearsall that music is:

“The indefatigable pursuit of an unattainable perfection, even though it consists in nothing more than the pounding of an old piano, is what alone gives meaning to our life on this unavailing star.”
