Opera in the Garden

Join us Saturday afternoon, September 21, for Opera in the Garden, for late afternoon appetizers, wine and popular songs from opera, musicals and art songs. You’ve heard Christa and Marco before, they LOVE performing for us in Wrightwood and are coming back for a fall performance.

Bring a friend, a “dramatic” attitude and your favorite bottle of wine (when everyone brings their own, we don't have to pay extra insurance, thereby reducing ticket cost).  Be prepared to relax, listen to some of the best music and enjoy pre-dinner appetizers.

Tickets $50 - Deck seating.
Tickets $45 - Garden seating.

This is a special event and is not included in season or patron tickets.

Christa Stevens, lyric soprano, has an extensive oratorio, cantata and concert repertoire and is in demand for concerts and recitals throughout Southern California. She has had numerous operatic roles and been involved in opera education outreach programs for children.

As a member of the Wagner Ensemble, she was the soprano soloist on a recent tour in France and performed at venues including the Cathédrale Saint-Bénigne de Dijon, Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Chartres, and the Abbey de Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris.

Ms. Stevens has a Master of Music Degree in Voice Performance and Bachelor of Art Degrees in Music and English Literature. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity and is an award-winning private voice and piano instructor and currently coaches with Valery Ryvkin.

Marco Antonio Lozano, tenor, has performed extensively throughout the United States and abroad. He has been engaged in Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain and Austria, where he resided for four years.
He was the first place winner of the Grandi Voci International Vocal Competition and has performed with companies such as Los Angeles Opera, Theater Ulm, Theater für Niedersachen, Oper in Berg Festival, Opera Royale, Lyric Opera of Los Angeles and Opera en Castellano, among others. He has given numerous recitals throughout the United States and Mexico, including a number of performances for the late Gore Vidal. Mr. Lozano is currently pursuing a Master of Music Degree at USC and is an active vocalist throughout Southern California.
