<image:caption>— offers music lessons for guitar, piano, bass (upright & electric), ukulele, recording, producing & songwriting at the Madrone Room Studio in Wrightwood, California. Led and taught by Dylann & Kris Sveen, who have fifteen years experience teaching elementary to collegiate music classes and private lessons, Wrightwood Education Studio is passionate about helping students develop an appreciation and love for music. Their enthusiasm for their craft is contagious and they have encouraged thousands of students to play, perform, record, and create their own original music. They work together with students and their dreams and goals in music — whether they want to play for fun, audition for a music program, perform live, or release music on streaming platforms, they can help guide students and be the best they can be.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About Us - Meet Dylann & Kris</image:title>
<image:caption>The original school, Keyboard Art, was started by Chet Noll & Joyce Wonderly in 1993. They were passionate about bringing music, arts, and culture to the small community of Wrightwood and they successfully grew the school every year with their dedication and commitment. Having the groundwork laid, Chet & Joyce retired the business to Dylann & Kris, in hopes of keeping the music alive for many more generations to come. Dylann began as a guitar and ukulele teacher at Keyboard Art in 2017. Her love for the community and students of the school was instilled during those years. When Dylann & Kris found each other, they became a mighty force of partnership and collaboration that served them in business, music, and education. Kris brought his expertise in classical and jazz guitar, recording, producing, engineering, woodworking, and his restless innovation and good ideas; Dylann brought her multi-instrument talents, photography, small business know-how, passion for inspiring young minds, and her enthusiasm for purpose, meaning, and growth. Together, they founded the new evolution of Keyboard Art, Wrightwood Education Studio — or WES, for short. They now share many of their talents and passions with students all over the country, with the help of a growing number of incredible educators at their side. “Making things, whether it’s a guitar solo, a hip-hop beat, a coffee table, a painting, or a piece of fiber art, has been a creative outlet for us our whole lives. Creativity has helped us grow, heal, process, and find joy in ordinary beauty and everyday life. We are so grateful and humbled that we get to share our gifts with so many students and give them the chance to experience the same thing.” | Dylann & Kris |</image:caption>

<image:caption>Guitar, Production & Recording OWNER OF WES — is an artist-teacher based in Redlands, California who specializes in jazz and classical guitar. He received his Master’s degree under the guidance of the great jazz guitarists, Jody Fisher and Dr. Paul Murphy; his undergraduate studies were completed at CSUSB under the supervision of Stuart Green and Dr. Robert Knop. While a student at CSUSB, Kris was asked to compose a piece for the CSUSB 24-piece jazz big band in honor of the late blues legend B.B. King. This piece was showcased at one of B.B. King’s concerts in November of 2009. In 2009 and 2010, Kris won the “Outstanding Soloist” award at the Reno Jazz Festival. In between his studies for his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, Kris was invited to participate in the Thailand International Jazz Conference (TIJC) along the likes of E.J. Strickland, Marcus Strickland, Benny Green and Ben Williams. At the conference, Kris also worked alongside Dr. Robert Knop to lead masterclasses on jazz improvisation for local Thai students. Since completing his degrees in 2014, Kris has been a professor at California State University San Bernardino, Crafton Hills College, and Moreno Valley College and has built successful jazz and guitar programs at each. He has instructed courses on music theory, introductory and advanced jazz improvisation, and music technology, and has directed multiple jazz ensembles and taught applied lessons in jazz and classical guitar at all three campuses. Recently, Kris has started a new, forward-thinking jazz trio with bassist, Dylann Asa, and drummer, Tate Kinsella. Together they have been directing jam sessions, accompanying instrumentalist and vocalists, and creating their own original music. This trio looks forward to developing an educational program that is rooted in history and tradition, yet integrated with modern technology and styles.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Voice, Piano & Choir — has studied voice for 27 years. In those years, she studied with a variety of teachers and coaches who came from all walks of life. This gave Stephanie varied musical influences which aid her in the ability to sing and teach several genres. From a very young age, Stephanie had a special connection with music. At 8 years old, she started taking private classical voice training and had the opportunity to learn languages such as Italian, German, and French. To make herself a more well-rounded musician, she also studied piano and percussion. Stephanie spent much time taking master classes on singing, specializing in opera, art song, musical theatre, and belt style technique. She completed her music curriculum at the College of Southern Idaho and went on to complete the required courses for vocal performance, conducting, and vocal pedagogy at Boise State University. She is very appreciative of her many years of study because it has given her a better understanding of how the voice works and how to teach others to use it correctly and efficiently. Stephanie has spent many years performing leading roles on stages all over California, Washington, and Idaho. She’s had the opportunity to perform on the Princess Cruise Line and when requested, sings at weddings, funerals, and special events. One of her passions is to perform in operas and musicals. In 2011, she started teaching private voice and in the last few years has been music directing for the Sandra R. Courtney Playhouse. Stephanie studied choreographed dance for 10 years and taught musical theater for three years. Stephanie says, “In my years of voice study and teaching, I have learned that there is nothing more valuable than to get one on one attention from someone that genuinely wants the best out of you.” She resides in Wrightwood, California with her husband and children and can't imagine teaching voice in a better environment.</image:caption>

Her love for the performing arts began at a young age when she imitated radio jingles and starred in community musical theatre productions such as Seussical (Gertrude) and You're A Good Man Charlie Brown (Lucy Van Pelt). She now holds a bachelor's degree in theatre acting from the USC School of Dramatic Arts, and is passionate about inspiring the next generation of performers. As a medical clown, she has brought joy and laughter to patients at LAC-USC, CHLA, The Children's Bureau, and Camp Painted Turtle. Her dance career blossomed when she joined the Hollywood It Girls, a vintage chorus girl swing dance group, and has performed all over LA county, including at the famous Griffith Park carousel. Amongst these performance endeavors, Katie has trained students in the performing arts with various companies around the South Bay including TADA Stages, Puttin' On Productions, The Actor's Place, and Palos Verdes Performing Arts for the past 9 years. She most recently served as assistant director for Beauty and the Beast and Peter Pan, and has taught classes in voiceover for animation, monologue/scene work, and commercial acting. In her free time, Katie enjoys frequent trips to Disneyland (especially on Dapper Day), hiking, snow skiing, wakeboarding, and teaching screenwriting to underprivileged elementary school students with Young Storytellers. At this time, he met his first teacher and mentor in both life and music, Chet Noll. He studied with Chet at the Keyboard Art School of Music for three years until he graduated and left for collegiate study. He has also studied piano under the tutelage of the late professor Edward Francis, Jason Stoll, and Dr. Dmitry Rachmanov. <image:caption>Accordion, Harp & Keyboards — was born and raised in Ontario, CA. His involvement with music began in childhood: singing in choirs, followed by private study of accordion, piano, and in high school, organ. In his senior year of high school, he earned the Music Teachers Association of California Certificate of Merit, Gold Seal in piano and theory. During his childhood studies, he accompanied choirs and soloists, as well as performed in recitals. While a student at the University of Redlands (Bachelor of Music, 1977, Organ and Church Music), he also began studying harpsichord. After Redlands, he attended Claremont Graduate University (Master of Arts, 1981, Harpsichord). Jerry moved to Wrightwood in November 1982 and has lived here since then. In 1998, in part inspired by his interest in early music, he added harp to his musical life. He began with the lever (aka “Celtic”) harp. A few years later, he also took up the pedal (“classical”) harp. Jerry continues to play both types of harp, using which ever one is best suited to the particular occasion. These events can be anything from a concert to a reception to a private engagement in a residence. Jerry’s days are filled with preparing music (including arranging and composing) for church, synagogue, and freelance events. Especially with the harp, he finds himself embracing a wide variety of styles, from classical to Celtic to contemporary. All of this and teaching too! Although performing is a big part of Jerry’s musical life, teaching offers its own unique and incredible joys! For him, there is no greater delight than sharing musical experiences and students realizing that they too can create their own beautiful music!</image:caption>

He learned a majority of his primary skills from his father who sparked his fascination with Nature. Always fascinated with “survival”, he would research survival skills in his free time. Later in life, Chad started training with various primitive survival instructors to further develop his skills and knowledge. At the age of 25, he started organizing “Nature Reconnection Classes” in South Orange County, California. The classes focused on teaching survival skills as an alternative to depression and anxiety medications. These turned into a major success prompting him to teach survival skills for the Oxygen Network and film a survival show in August 2016 for the Discovery Channel. He continues to train with various survival instructors, across the globe, with the intention of bringing these skills back to Wrightwood. www.naturereconnectionclass.com</image:caption>

<image:caption>Cello — began piano and cello lessons at the age of seven. She joined the Youth Symphony Orchestra at Victor Valley College by age nine and performed with the orchestra for a number of years. At age twelve, she started studying piano with Dr. Linda Minasian, a highly musical and gifted teacher in the High Desert. She has participated in competitions throughout the Inland Empire and Los Angeles, as well as many studio recitals and concerts. She also studied with various cello teachers throughout the Inland Empire, eventually studying with Kyle Champion, principal cellist of the Redlands Symphony. At age 16, she performed her first solo piano recital. Beth opened her own piano studio at this time and found teaching to be such a joy that she wanted to pursue a music degree for the sake of being able to teach at a highly proficient level and provide the best instruction possible for her students. But, then things happened that would change Beth’s life forever. In 2007, at age 17, she started developing muscle stiffness in her neck and back, eventually developing severe and painful muscle spasms and abnormal posture. It was some years later that Beth was officially diagnosed with a neurological condition called Primary Generalized Dystonia. During all of this, Beth continued to play and teach piano, though physically unable to play the cello. In 2011, a neurologist found that Beth was a candidate for a procedure called deep brain stimulation, or DBS. Beth had the brain surgery to implant the DBS unit and the results were simply amazing. With the dystonia now under control, Beth went on to get training to become an Advanced Massage and Neuromuscular Therapist. She now runs a successful massage practice focusing on medical massage and helping to alleviate clients’ pain and suffering. Currently, Beth continues to teach piano and cello in her studio in Apple Valley and online. She continues to grow as a musician by taking lessons, reading, studying, and of course, teaching. Periodically, she will perform recitals and concerts for the community. In her free time, Beth enjoys reading, hiking, and traditional archery.</image:caption>

<image:title>WES - We say, Start them young, let them play.</image:title>
<image:caption>There’s no better time to get started then now. Age 3 is just as good a year to start as age 65. It’s never too late or too early to learn something new that benefits your entire person and those around you! When you’re having fun and unlocking your creativity, others will too. Whether you’ll be online or in-person, there’s plenty to learn and tons of room to grow. Sometimes you just need a season of study to unload all the creativity that has been building up inside you, sometimes you need years to master the thing you are truly passionate about. WES is here for you through it all.</image:caption>
